Is it really the “Ultra” shot?

Well I finally decided to go out to the range and test this out. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I must say, I am very impressed. The Ultra Shot Pro turned out to be a great halo sight at an affordable price.

After getting the sight attached to my M4 (which was super easy with the QD mount) I sighted in and was ready to go. After a few turns my sight was on POI. The ultra shot features the Interlok™ internal locking system which allows you to lock in the reticle on your POI. You can then remove the Ultra shot from your rifle, re-attache and you should be good to go. I did this and surprisingly did not have to sight back in. After a few bursts down range the sight was working great. With the Ultra Shot you have four patterns to work with; you have your cross hair, dot, bulls eye, and star burst. I personally prefer the star burst pattern, I was able to find it a lot faster than the others, but this is just a personal preference. The sight also has five adjustable brightness levels. After getting everything dialed in I was very happy with the sight. The sight picture was very clear and I had no issues with the sight picture while firing.

The Ultra shot is very light; it weighs in at 7.1oz. It is made of a composite material with a surrounding metal shell. I was very impressed when I first pulled the sight out of the box, it feels very sturdy. I have yet to put this through any hard fighting but I’m sure this will withstand some of the toughest situations.

All in all I am very happy with this sight! I had no problems at all with this sight. One thing that did bother me a tad bit was the batter, it takes a CR1620. I would have preferred an AA but hey, I can’t always win!
